Drinking coffee to lose weight, Whoa?? A dream come true for all us moms out there, right!  As a SAHM of two young kids, drinking coffee is my third job. I haven’t had a continuous night’s sleep in over 4 years because of my youngest so when Skinny Coffee Club contacted me about becoming a brand ambassador and asked me to try their weight loss coffee for 28 days, I said ‘Sign Me Up!’

MY EXPERIENCE

The first thing I noticed when I opened the package after it arrived, was how small the 28 day supply of
coffee really was.  As a mentioned before, I am a huge coffee drinker… I mean, probably about 6 cups a
day (and that’s on a good day!) However, the yummy aroma of the coffee was undeniable! 

The coffee recommends using a French press which I was not aware of so I waited a couple of days
while I ordered one on line.  It is not necessary but I loved the idea of preparing a cup in the French press,
so it gave me an excuse to purchase one on line. I found one on Amazon that was perfect!

My first cup was delicious! Really! I never drink my coffee black like the package instructs but I tried to stay true to the process and that was another pleasant surprise. Another one of my concerns about drinking weight loss coffee was the dreaded emergency trips to the potty and again I was happy to be proven wrong.  The Skinny Coffee is pretty light compared to how I usually drink my coffee (even with cream) so I guess that’s why I didn’t experience any stomach cramping or urgent trips to the loo, thank goodness. lol

One of the important claims about Skinny Coffee Club is the promise of all day energy.  I will say that initially I absolutely felt a natural kind of wakefulness. It wasn't like drinking a Red Bull or any of those kind of energy drinks. (Which I have done on more than a few occasions.) The energy I felt after drinking Skinny Coffee Club was a more organic kind of awareness that I really loved.

The other promise that Skinny Coffee Club makes is its effects on reducing bloating which I found to be true! One of my daily struggles on my life long journey to be healthier is drinking more water.  I should be drinking a gallon a day, but unfortunately I don't even come close to that amount. It has always been something that I have a hard time disciplining myself to do but who wants to go to the potty a hundred times a day? Am I right! Momma ain't got time for that! Ha! As a result of not drinking enough water, I deal with bloating quite often and the Skinny Coffee was definitely great at reducing bloating, Yay!

Ok, so what you guys really what to know is, did you loose weight? The straight up answer is Not Really. To clarify, the coffee comes with a diet and exercise plan and I did not really follow either. (So much for staying true to the process, huh? lol) I'm a runner. That's my exercise of choice and after having two children, I got back into it.  I ran several 5ks, half marathons and my first and only marathon about two years ago. All the training became a bit much and I felt completely burnt out after the marathon. Like Tom Cruise, I lost that love and feeling for a while! Haha!! I took a long break but I have slowly gotten back into running three miles a day, two to three times a week and one or two spin classes a week.  With that said, Summer BBQ and other gatherings along with that annoying little monthly visitor, weight lost has become more of a weight maintenance. So far within the 28 days, I did loose but ultimately regained 3lbs.

Honestly, I love the taste of the coffee, the energy boost it gave me (especially before a run or spin class) and the effects it has on reducing bloat makes me a fan. I love that it's all natural and organic and I intend on using Skinny Coffee Club again.  By the way, how pretty is the packaging, right!  I think its fair to say that I've already seen and felt some of benefits from the Skinny Coffee and I'm interested in giving the process a bit more time to hopefully experience more.  No worries, I'll have an update for all you beautiful people!
